This independent hair salon in New York is one of the oldest of its kind. Lance Lappin TriBeCa offers a team of top hair stylists, best hair colorists and airbrush makeup artists.
My mother, my brother my aunt and myself have all been going to Lance for hair cuts and Ivy for color for over a decade – and once you go to the Lance Lappin salon, you will never want to go anywhere else. Lance and Ivy are like the dream team of hair. We all have very different hair and very different personalities, yet Lance gives us all spectacular cuts and, shapes our hair to bring out something about our characters. He has a knack for creating a cut that is always hip, flattering, and makes you look your most beautiful. I always walk out of the salon looking and feeling great. I often feel better after getting my haircut than after going to yoga or therapy! The salon has a cozy, intimate atmosphere that you won’t find in most places – probably since Lance, Ivy and the rest of staff are friendly, funny and interesting people who love what they do.
My mother recently switched to Sandra after Ivy recently left the salon, and she did an incredible job with her color.

Appointments
Appointments at Lance Lappin Salon must be secured with a credit card at the time of scheduling. A full fee will be charged to your credit card for cancellations and appointments missed without a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours notice.
Method Of Payment
We accept cash, checks, Visa & Mastercard.
Gratuities
Gratuity is customary for good service and always left to the discretion of our clients. We apologize but gratuities cannot be added to your credit card or check.
How long in advance do I need to call to book a haircut with Lance Lappin?
We recommend calling three weeks in advance.
Adjustments
We honor free adjustments for any services for one week from date of service.
Single Process
The price of a single process reflects a root touch-up only and it does not include an additional glaze. If you wish to add-on a glaze to your single process or have never colored your hair before, please speak with your colorist about the additional cost.
Blow Dry
You will receive a complimentary 10-minute finishing blow dry with all color services. If you wish a full professional blow dry after your color service, there is a charge of only $35. Please note that this blow dry price is valid with color service only. If you request a hot iron service, there is an additional charge of $20.
What is Balayage?
A freestyle hair highlighting technique. Highlights are hand painted on to the hair for a natural looking sun kissed effect.
What are the benefits of Balayage?
Soft & dimensional highlights; it is customized for every client; graceful grow-out & extended time between hair color appointments.
Who is the Balayage client?
A client who wishes natural looking low maintenance color. It is the latest style worn by Jennifer Aniston, Eva Longoria & Gisele Bündchen.
Is there a specific hair colorist do you recommend for Balayage?
Sandra Vasilescu is specialized in haircolor and the art of Balayage highlights. She trained under a renowned Balayage educator.

What is the Brazilian Blowout?
The Brazilian Blowout is a hair smoothing treatment that leaves hair frizz-free and shiny.
What are the benefits of the Brazilian Blowout?
The hair is shiny, full of volume and easy to manage. You can blow dry your hair smooth and straight in a fraction of the time invested prior to receiving the treatment.
How long does the Brazilian Blowout last?
It can last for approximately 12 weeks provided you follow directions.
Will my hair lose volume if I receive a Brazilian Blowout?
No, your hair will not lose volume and your hair will maintain bend memory when blow-drying or using a curling iron.
Is the Brazilian Blowout going to make my hair completely straight?
It depends on how curly your hair is. Wavy hair will be straight and smooth; very curly hair will retain some waves.
Can I receive a Brazilian Blowout if I have color/highlights in my hair?
Yes, the treatment will actually improve the health and look of color-treated hair.
Can I color my hair the same day I receive a Brazilian Blowout?
Yes, but you must receive your color treatment prior to having this treatment.
How soon can I color my hair after the Brazilian Blowout?
You need to wait a minimum of two weeks.
What is a Glaze?
A glaze or gloss is a demi-permanent color we use to correct, refresh or enhance your haircolor. We can adjust the glaze depending on your needs.
What is the Ombré effect?
The Ombré effect is a coloring technique that creates a gradual flow of color from dark to light. With this coloring technique the highlight point of origin always begins away from the roots.
